Yes. Our kits are designed to be hassle free & simple to install. Locate your ECU, unplug it's existing wiring harness, plug in the Unichip - job done! If you're unsure about the process, our workshop is open Monday - Friday | 9AM - 5PM GMT. Give us a call!
If you're purchasing a "Premium" or "Ultimate" Kit, then yes, you'll need to purchase a Map Switch in order to access our pre-programmed maps. If you're purchasing a "Standard" Kit, you will not need a map switch, as they're programmed to hold just one tuning file. Refer to the product listing's title if you're unsure.
If you're serious about tuning your vehicle and have shopped about, you'll have definitely noticed the wild west that is the chip tuning industry. The Unichip Module is a multi-processor ECU tuning tool, it is not a chip tuning product. The sheer amount of engine parameters we're able to manipulate means that every single file is meticulously tuned in our in-house rolling road. Unlike some our competitors, our map files are not just increments of the same map, giving you slightly more power every time. Every map is detailed and lives up to each of their individual namesakes. This can take days, or even weeks to perfect these tunes. Couple that with industry-leading product materials used across the range, an anti - theft immobilizer map as standard to all premium / ultimate products and a spectacular after-sales service, and the Unichip Products truly live up to their value. Chip tuning boxes share only a few similarities with the Unichip Module. They'll typically alter just injection timing or injection pressure. The Unichip gives a reputable tuner a myriad of different parameters to manipulate, creating a far superior tune, a much better spirited drive, all while ensure there's 0 risk to your engine's mechanical components. A remap will physically alter / overwrite your existing ECU file. Done correctly, and you'll have access to one map with more power. Done incorrectly, and you risk damaging your engine's mechanical components. These changes are semi-permanent; if your remap is bad, you'll have to take your car back to the manufacturer to gain access back to the existing file, for a hefty price.

No. If your car is under warranty or kept through a hire purchase agreement, you can rest assured that all Unichip Europe tuning kits will not tamper, change stock/existing ECU files or leave any footprint on your car.
Yes. Every single Unichip plug and play kit has been tuned on the exact make / model that you're purchasing, on our in-house rolling road by our expert tuners.
Yes. Simply unplug and remove the kit from your engine bay / ECU location, plug in your vehicle's stock ECU wiring loom, and it's like we were never there.
As a rule of thumb, the majority of our kits take 30 - 45 minutes to install. Most vehicle ECU's are relatively easy to locate. However, some are located underneath / behind the glovebox. If this is the case, we'll provide instructions on how to easily remove the trim with generic tools.
If you're not completely satisfied with your product, you've got 30 days to send it back to us to receive a refund. The bespoke nature of our plug and play kits implies that exchanges aren't applicable. Please ensure that you've correctly identified your engine code and checked your existing ECU connections / ports and cross - reference them to our images provided. There will be a handling fee for any incorrect purchases. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you're unsure; our small workshop team have all been part of the development process, and know these vehicles inside out! There is a shipping fee incurred with all of our products, which will depend on your location. You may find out how much this is during the checkout process (don't worry - it's before you submit your order!). We aim to have your kit assembled, uploaded and quality tested between 3 - 5 working days. All products are sent by a fast delivery courier service.
The Unichip Module itself comes with a 5 year warranty. The quality of the build and the nature of the product means that only 1/400 Unichip Modules are faulty, as pre-determined by Unichip HQ in South Africa. Currently, there is no warranty waiver for the Unichip wiring harnesses. However, we can assure you that every harness is tested and quality checked for any faults before the product is shipped. Unichip Europe pride themselves in not only creating the best driving experience for you, but maintaining this experience for years to come.
